The Land-grant Engagement Liaison Council, established in September 2026, currently includes representatives from 12 colleges and the Office of the Provost. The council was established to strengthen coordination around community engagement, elevate the university’s land-grant mission, and provide a collective voice for engagement across the institution.

The Liaison Council represents a strategic investment in the future of community engagement at the University of Kentucky. The enthusiasm, expertise and broad representation demonstrated by members underscore the value of the council’s collective voice. By connecting leaders across colleges and units, the council will help identify and elevate engaged work, strengthen collaboration, document institutional impact, and further position UK as a national leader in community-engaged scholarship and practice while advancing its land-grant mission in service to the Commonwealth.
