Budget guidelines for Land-grant Engagement funding
Accepted project applications will establish an expense account within the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky. When establishing your project proposal budget, allowable expense categories for funding include:
- Personnel (salary and benefits)
- Professional services
- Travel
- Printing
- Office Supplies
- Program Supplies
- Conference/Workshop expenses
- Computers/Software
- Other Equipment
Generally unallowable costs for funding include:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Donations and contributions
- Entertainment costs
- Fundraising costs
- Insurance and indemnification
- Legal costs
- Lobbying
- Memberships, subscriptions, and professional activity costs
- Purchase, construction, repair of buildings or rental of land
